Well i think that the lyrics are just saying that he feels so forgiven and he knows all of the mistakes that he has done
I think this video means that even though our past may be filled with regrets and worry, God forgives us. We need to embrace Him, and look to the future because God loves us and forgives us.
I also think that they are saying that there are many mistakes in their past life but they are forgiven by Jesus Chist and he is still running them through his mind and figuingout that he was wrong, like when the lyrics say, “When I dont fit in and feel like I dont belong anywere”. I think it’s like hes remembering how bad he felt to sin but in the chorus it shows how he knows he’s forgiven.

jojo and gals i agree that it would appears the LYRICS are talking about he keeps remembering all the sins he has commited, and the Devil likes to make him remember, too, but then he remembers who he IS in Christ and that he’s forgiven. I love that he ends it with being a “treasure”.

I do and remember how much it impacts me in life and how it never really happens again because I really don’t like feeling guilt and shame. Does anyone else feel that way when you know you’ve sinned and it makes me remember how the holy spirit is working inside me and like Kriss said in sunday school, sanctifys/cleans us of our sins and make us feel the guilt and shame to tell us it’s not right.

I think the song is talking about how we are so full of sin, and God loves us so much that he just decided to let us restart our lives. if we restart our lives, then we don’t need to worry about our past(which I have done before)and we can have another go in life! Sometimes I feel like I have done something so bad that I am sure that I can’t be forgiven. But, according to Kris, God thinks that I am perfect!Yipeeeeeeeeee!
I see what your saying LILY how we don’t need to worry about our past and somtimes that can be really hard to do especially if it truly hurt you best friend or you were cought and it is always being brought up to show you a point. I do like how you say what kris metioned that God sees us as perfect and it is very Yipeeeee! able. I think, he knows that he made us and we sin. He made the universe knowing that there will be temptations that we must overcome!
He sees us as perfect through his sun and if we could draw on here I would draw GOD looking through us and seeing Jesus/holy spirit in us and see us as perfect.

That makes a really good point em.j, that christ died for our sins so that we are forgiven and I think that that is a point that the lyrics are trying to show that we are forgiven of our pasts and we don’t have to worry anymore because he already payed your ticket out of hell and your forgiven by him.

Yes I did notice that and that shouldn’t be, but in this case the vidio and lyrics don’t make much sense if you switch the I/me/I’ve’s and the others with christ/God/Jesus or Holy Spirit it just wouldn’t fit, but I still se what you mean though em.j.

I did not notice the I, and me and yada yada, but if I listened again, I would probably notice. I dont know if that is a good thing or a bad thing. but anyways this video makes me feel good, because I get to pretty much restart my life! It is an encouraging song letting people know that it doesn’t matter what you’ve done, but what you are going to do next,(that reminds me of dinner…..hee hee..)I really liked that song, but it bugs me that non christians listen to christian songs, not listening to what the words mean but they listen because they just like the sound of it. Then again I can’t blame them for liking that song!

I agree with Amy, God died for us on the cross( And boy am I glaaaaaaaaaaad!)so that he could give us our little check thing out of hell. But, of course you have to turn in the check or else it is completely useless! It looks like in the video, the girl was having a hard time with her life, and then she finally went to God for help. and after that the girl was able to dump all of her sins, and start out new and fresh!

Ya, lily I understand what you mean how non-christians don’t really listen to what they’re saying and I didn’t either, but since I started blogging every time I hear the songs I think more intently on the word and remember what we talked about and that it’s not just a cool rocky song but it actually has a point.
The vidio doesn’t really show anything to me like the other one did this one mostly just had the band and then a really old guy who I think was someone looking into there past(the vidio tapes) and finding out he is forgiven(from the lyrics),but it still doesn’t really remind me of the lyrics at all because it is mostly just the band that you are seeing not the true point of it.

One thing i took from reading the lyrics is that some times it is hard to be positive- but we need to be, becase once again we r forgiven of everything, yay!
in the first verse it says ” I’m reminded of the wrong that I have said and done and that devil just won’t let me forget” i guess what its saying is that before and even after we have been forgiven the devil can meddle with us and make us worry about the past even though it’s the past and we need to let it go. But when we have been forgiven its harder for the devil to meddle with us because Christ forgave us.
I liked the visual of the books and videos. It can sometimes feel like I’m surrounded by my past mistakes and they seem to always be in view. It takes effort to take my focus off of them and put them back on Christ and remind myself again that it’s all been paid for and punishment for it all has already been laid on Him. There is no wrath left for me. discipline, yes. wrath, no.
What’s up with the book with blank pages? That seems to be when things change for the girl.
And when the TV goes fuzzy on the old man, same thing.

one thing i keep seeing in the lyrics is when it says “i’m reminded of the wrong that i have said and done and that devil just won’t let me forget”… how true is that! i am sometimes constantly reminded of sin that i have done (how rare it is lol JUST KIDDING) and i feel so lucky to be able to pray and repent to god and know that my sin is forgiven. it’s such an amazing feeling and so encouraging that he would take my sin and forgive me!
I think the video means like, “okay, so you’ve caught up on your life, you’re up to date on you life, no go live the rest, fill this book, because even though you’ve made mistakes, you need to realizes that God forgives your mistakes.”
I agree now because I didn’t notice the girl reading in the vidio, until sunday/yesterday night because I thought it was just the old man looking into his past seeing things he mabey did that were not right and the girl I think was circling and underlining the parts in her life in need of improvment or were hounting her and has like Ebad says for her future to fill with a better life. I think the guy was like watching his videos and he was reflecting on how he had left his wife and kid, because the tape said “the day i left” and he was crying and then he realized he was forgiven and that he should go live his life too.
i think you’re right! i think it’s sometimes hard to accept that even though we’ve done terrible things that we’re forgiven and that we need to move on with our lives and live them to glorify god regardless of what we’ve done in our past!

great job ladies. the point of the video does seem to be reflecting on our sin (written pages, the video of the family) and then they realize they are forgiven and it goes blank…..God no longer sees our sin when we confess them, he sees Jesus Christ instead. How we live our life depends on how we focus our thoughts….on our sin, or on God and His grace for big and for small things.

I think the lyrics mean that this man was forgive by Christ Jesus… and he is now forgiven for his sins, but the devil is still inside of him making him do bad things. He really wants to do good, but the devil overpowering him. His life is just falling apart, because he is now forgetting about all of things that Jusus has done for him.: a free ticket out of hell, and a never ending life with God. He’s so blinded by the devil, that he cant even see what’s ahead of him.

We are sinful by nature!! And of course the Devil can tepmt us.. but all together it is our fault for our sins. The whole human rase had a chance to be holy and un-sinful. But Adam and Eve broke that chance. So.. No the devil cant MAKE us do bad stuff… but can TEMPT us.. as in we choose whether to do it or not. Lol nice verse Princess. I think this video show that we believe that Jesus Christ died on the Cross for our sins, so our sins our forgiven and that through God, we can do anything. We can forgive each other because thats what Christ did for us. For People who don’t know Jesus, we can share the Bible with them, so that there sins can be forgiven too. We can help by showing others the light.
Excellent verse p.l. it is a good thought that we can run to God in times of trouble. Ebad you have a good point too that we this song challenges us to remember we are forgiven and we need to tell other people how they can be forgiven too. What about how we act towards other people? What we can do to show people that Christ is in everyone whether they know it or not is by sharing the bible with them and bringing them to church every Sunday. We need to tell/show the people of the world that Christ Jesus is the path to be on. That God is the king of the earth and the creater of all humanity. We also need to form groups to support one another through troubled times, telling them that God and Jesus is there to help you through every step of the way. So I think that we should try putting together a group of 7th/8th graders to share the message to anyone who may be in need for it. Share them the LIVING WORD,and how to USE IT.
Ya danielle I know what you mean when you say that God is the creater of the world, but there are a lot of people who belive otherwise and right now in school that is what we’re studying (creation of human beings) and people belive that a turtle and a fox created the earth with a grain of sand and when I think about that I realize that God didn’t need to speak the words but he did to show how much he cared and the fox had to use sand but God needed nothing, I know this is off subject but it is still important to know. This is hard to study because you have to learn somthing that isn’t true and it gets frustrating to see and the theory’s don’t even make sense at all and the scientists veiw is that we where evolved from animals but then how did the animals get there? this is really weird to me though. Well to get back on subject, I don’t think that the lyrics are match to the vidio because to me there isn’t much in the vidio to see other than the band and that doesn’t have anything to do with the lyrics to me.

Jojo.. you are so right!!! in school we are (in science) talking about fossils and meteors and dinosours.. in the beginning of the year, my science teacher Mr. Schlegel.. (haha. it still makes me laugh.. sorry.) was saying that fossils were found all over to tops of some of the most highest mountains. he said that all of the fossils up there ( as in fishes) were found there because of some of the mountain could’ve never been there, and that over time, the bottom could have risen up to make it that high. But Emily and i disagree. As we were taught in camp gilead, Fossils were placed there by a flood that GOD created to give the earth a new start from what horrible things were happening then. Everywhere other people believe other things about fossils or creation.. and i’m fine with that.. but i just think that God has the right to be heard, and to be known as the creater of the earth. And also, Jojo you are again right, because the video didnt show us anything other than band and all the drama they were staging. Nothing showing Jesus are any sign of Christianatity.
danielle, good point about the fossils. God did cause a flood to wipe out everything on the earth and that would’ve dramatically changed the fossil record. But if an unbeliever is blind to God’s grace, how can you be as merciful and loving to him as God was to you?
Same goes for the video….do you think that everything needs to be slapped with a Jesus stick to show God’s glory? How do you think the band is using symbolism to reflect God’s truth in the video? You had a great idea about getting a group together to share the gospel, but is sharing the gospel in a public presentation the only way to share GOd with unbelievers? WIll they care what you have to say? What might need to happen first?
I think not that much people would listen to us in the group, your right about that… and what we could do before that is tell them that if you believe in Jesus, and God, and ask to be saved, go to a church, you will be freed of your sins and have ever lasting life in Heaven..
During school, we were having alittle talk about al of the religion. (since we were doing something for English, and a person didnt know whether to capitalize church or not..) That Christianity is the most common religion in the world, but also some people dont get what god is.. like as an example: people born on islands, they maight have thier own spiritual gods as in the sun god… but they has and never had known anything about god.. So i’m just saying that we should somehow, show them what God is. To symbolize all of the hard work that he has put into the world and all of his interesting plans for the world.

This song reflects our religion because we maybe sometimes dont see the good in things because of how we were naturally born sinners; we need to look deep down to see that God created all things the way he wanted them. All we can do is follow him and “walk in the LIGHT with Jesus Christ”!!!
Yeah and with what you were saying with the person on an island thing, we have the Bible. God’s #1 absolutely true book, which if people read, would make sense to them about creation, how to live and such. some geologist are actually studying and finding proof that the Bibles true, like some have found some stuff that the flood happened.
In church, I heard the paster say something like,”Satan tries to make us guilty of our past sins,” but I know that I am free from all of my sins, so I don’t have to worry about my past because I know that all of my sins are forgiven. I think that relates to the video when the girl and the old man were depressed just feeling guilty about their sins. But in the end, they both realize that they can be forgiven of their sin, and they don’t have to worry about what has happened.

alright, last week with this video…how can we be a blessing to those around us and what Scriptures speak to what we’ve been talking about?
Colossians 3:13 says:
“Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievences you mayhave against one another. Forgive as God forgave you”
To be forgave by God a blessing because we deserve nothing to deserveit and so to be like christ we must forgive othersof our sins to eachother and learn how like in the pasage Leviticus 19:18 it says love your neibor as yourself,but many people don’t think about that when they are hurt by someone and they don’t realize that if you hurt someone and theyresponded to you in a kind way you would problly act differently around them to know that they care about you and don’t care what you do to them.

and um well the letters are next to eachother because the the computer was being weird and if I spaced inbettween the letters it would delete a different letter so I just decided to leave it the way it was.

I know that I deserve to go to hell, but, luckily God chose me to come to heaven with him, so why should I(or anyone else)keep our amazing gift a secret?!!!?? I don’t really know any good scriptures about being a blessing to others, but I really liked amy’s, how did you find such a good verse Amy? But any hoozles(like my knew word?), blessing others also kind of means you are doing it because you love God and the people that he has created.

Sometimes I think things like, why is this person here? They just cause trouble and make people feel guilty and hurt others feelings? It could be a challenge that God gives us to be stronger, or that person could just be there to glorify God I guess!But when ever I really don’t like someone, I just think to myself, God put that person there for a reason, and that usually makes me feel better and helps me to love them more and try to become closer to them.

I just watched this video that my dad had to watch, it is really good because it sort of explains why God put suffering in to the world, and why didn’t he make us not have a choice to love him or not, it is really good and now when my friends ask me why I think these things, I will be prepared!

But it is hard to be the one that apoligezes, and it is hard to go up to someone and forgive them too, or just to help them out. It is the right thing to do and I always forget that at school, when someone needs help I just…..usually don’t walk up to people and ask what the problem is, because it seems weird to walk up to someone you don’t know and say, “What is the problem?” Danielle, have you calmed down yet? i know for me, a lot of times i don’t feel like i belong… like the song “when i don’t fit in and i don’t feel like i belong anywhere, when i don’t measure up to much in this life” i can totally relate sometimes. but then when it says “i’m a treasure in the arms of christ” it seriously puts a smile on my face and makes me feel like i’m here for a reason and no matter what happens, i’m forgiven.
I can relate with failure knocking me down, and letting it mess with my head like in the first part, like if in Xcountry I dont beat my goal or in volleyball we dont win when we should have it can get in my head and do bad things, so I know I am not the only one with troubles but in the song helps me understand that everyone strugles and everyone is forgiven. “if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us of our and purify us from all unrightrousness.” i think that this verse is related because in the video the girl was looking torough her book of sins. she was underlining some of the words, i think that she was confessing her sins to God. then God cleared the book, purified it.
I found a Bible verse! It is Ephesians 4:32,be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as Christ God forgave you. It relates to the video because it talks about how we have been forgiven by God, and we need to forgive others of their sins too.

And when I forgive him(for whatever is to be forgiven), I do so with Christ’s authority for your benefit, so that Satan will not outsmart us.” It means that when we forgive people, God does too, and that He does with Christ’s power, for us, so Satan can’t get to us. If we forgive others, God forgives them too.

Well if Satan makes us not forgive each other, then we hate each other and fight and don’t love your neighbor like God wants us too, so if we don’t forgive others then God doesn’t forgive them and then we’re helping Satans cause.

I’m back! Alright, Jen, I think that Satan would use our unforgiveness to help his cause by making us feel guilty and worthless. If Satan made us think that, then we probably wouldn’t think God loved us, which in other words life would be kinda pointless. But in the video I think Satan is trying to make the girl and the old man feel guilty about their past, but then God forgives them and they don’t have to worry anymore.
I am confused, does Satan make others feel guilty only when you are a non Christian? Because when you are a Christian then God is with you. But then again God might try to test us….but then again our sins our forgiven………but then AGAIN Satan could still make us feel guilty, even if we were forgiven because the sin we did might have been horrible, never mind, I am thinking to hard(like usual, ha ha ha). But then again…..just kidding!

Anyway to stay on topic I will say that Ebad and Princess leia are typing some awesomeness verses, and happiness,well don’t you ever feel guilty about your past somtimes even though your saved? And God is always with everyone,but the holy spirit is only in someone who has been saved, the holy spirit nudges you away from things that you could be guilty about, but we don’t always listen. For example:
If your mom made cupcakes and there were ten left over and your mom was gone. you’ve been starving all afternoon and thoughs cupcakes are you favorite ,but you know your mom said no. you are nudged to take a cupcake and also nudged away from it because the Holy Spirit is pulling you away from it because it is a sin.
So lets say you take the cupcake and you eat it after thinking about it for a while and you see that it’s ovious that someone took a cupcake so you pretty it up by filling in the empty space with other cupcakes.your mom comes home and you are friking out so you try to avoid talking about cupcakes, but of course your mom notices that one is missing, you get a horrible feeling and wish that you didn’t steel the cupcake and yes, you are savierly punished for it.
Even though you have the holy spirit doesn’t mean that you listen to it.

Well also if you didn’t try to avoid that you stole a cupcake and confessed to your mom than your past would be forgiven and you won’t be savirly punished, but spanked mabey, but you also will loose that guilt because you made it right and you were forgiven, not only by your mom, but by God/Jesus.

Okay I have something to say that has (sorry about this..) nothing to do with the video. BUT it does have something to do with God. Today I was a memorial service for Kourtney, and at the end, they were talking about how Kourtney is in a peaceful place now. And how a lot of people are thinking that there is no God, becuase if so, he wouldve helped her. The person talking said that there is a God, and that He did help her. He helped her by giving her a great life. Even though she died, He gave her one happy life. We prayed for her and her family.. But the thing that really got me crying was about her doggie: Her dog (forgot the name) we HER dog, and she cared for her every night. But the night she died, she didnt come back. When the door would open, she would be standing there expecting Kourtney to be there.. But she never was. No matter how much the family would get her to get away from door, she would always run back, and wait. And here it is, a week after, and she is still laying infront of the door.. Waiting.
Danielle, thats very sad, and some people might blame themselves, and think that no one will forgive them, but if they confess it and talk to people and don’t wallow in their grief, but try to help themselves. God forgives everyone who means it. Even though we don’t understand why God does what he does, we need to trust Him. We might not know why Kourtney died, and why, but God had a plan for her. He knew what would happen and maybe someday we can know why.

So since the girl’s sins were being remembered she was consentrating on each one and the way we can put this in our life is to not focus on the past, but the present. She found out that she was living in her past, but not until she was done remembering her past and she realized thatshe had a whole future to live and make better than her past. But dwelling on your past does no good to your future
Danielle, I didn’t know that you knew Kourtney, I did not, but I hear that she was a really nice girl. But, like Ellie said, God has a plan for everyone, and Kourtney’s job on earth was over. God didn’t need her to do anything else, so he just decided to take her home. But anyways, I agree with amy, the girl was just focusing on her past, when there was really a wonderful future waiting for her. She realized that she didn’t have to just look at her sins everyday, instead she got a life where she could be forgiven and be closer to God. Danielle, that is pretty amazing about her dog waiting for her and I can’t help thinking that we as believers should be that way with Jesus coming back. He loves us and cares for us everyday and we should never stray from waiting at his door for Him to return. That is incredibly comforting to me this morning. There is so much we don’t understand on this earth, but one day like is says in 1 cor 13 we will understand fully.

I really like what Avery, about the animals in heaven but someone told me that animals dont go to heaven bcuz they never had God and Jesus with them, but i wasnt so sure if that was true so i will just ask Jen! i like all of the verses that everyone found about forgivness, i have learned from them and have been trying to use the advises! This morning i heard the forgiveness song on the radio and i REALLY like it its a really good song! i think we should do it for the band thing!
My verse means that Jesus died on the cross for us. He got punished for us. He was ‘peirced for our transgressions’ = he was hung by nails, for our transgressions or bad decisions. ‘He was crushed for our iniquities;’ = he was beaten, for our sins and abilities to never stop sinning. He died for us, and was beaten, spit on, and cursed at for our sins. By that punishment, that has brought us PEACE with him. By him and his pain for us, our own sins, were washed away, and healed. We have been given, a new life.

Yes, I do believe animals will be in heaven for a couple of reasons….1) God created them in the garden and they were “good” and created not to die like Adam and Eve until they sinned. 2) There are references to eternity where it says the lion will lay down with the lamb etc. Danielle your verse is probably one of the most crucial in Scripture because it was written long before Jesus was crucified and it totally applied to Him and the price that would be paid for our sin because of His love for us. I think that the Lyrics are about how Jesus was born on Christmas Day, and how he’s thinking on Christmas Eve, and tomorrow, his savior would return. That he remembers the day that a baby was born to die for him, and the world. That that baby, was perfect, and one day, be the ruler of this world, along with his father, God.
I’ve had a friend from my school come up to me and say, “I hope you’re not mad at me, since I’m not Christian..” But she believed in God though.. I said, “No. I’m not mad, and either is another Christian.. We dont get ‘mad’ at people who arent.. but just try guide them towards it.” and she said, “Oh really? That’s nice. I believe in him, but I just dont go to church.. I mean I hear everyone saying really cool things about God and Jesus, and I believe they are right.. but I just dont go any further.” I replied, “Well, if you start going to church, everything will come clear to you, that there are way more things that Jesus does for you. God planned everything from the beginning. He planned you living, he planned you eating, and he even planned you to come up to me and say this.. He also planned for Kourtney to die… for a good reason.” “Oh.. that’s cool.. Thank you for talking about this with me.. I might just talk to my parents about this!
