I think the lyrics are talking about how the girl wants to know Jesus, but she thinks that it’s not real, and that it won’t do any good. It talks about how we make what we are, and God loves us for that. When we accept Jesus, We become Remade! This isn’t about us, it’s about what He did for us, and how much He loved us!! We have been Remade!!!

girl 1 seems to struggle with trying to figure out who she is and how she got to where she is and working on changing. i feel like i can relate to girl 2 the best. i know the answers and i know the right things to do but sometimes it feels too hard to do the right thing even though i know i should.

Well, Reepi, it could be the same girl technically, but it seems to me the girl in verse one is unsaved and without the hope of Jesus Christ, but the girl in Vs 2 knows the truth but is still struggling. What do you think?
OOOOOO! I see now! So I think that the “first” girl has fallen hard for love because in the 8th line from the top it says,
“‘That I’ve Fallen too far for love’” and that I think could mean multiple things such as, mabey the girl fell in love and was too wraped into her relationship, or mabey she has gotten hurt too badely that no amount of love would help her. I’m not sure which is which!
The “second” girl mabey is trying to be saved and is trying to say the prayer, because in the song it says,
“….She knows all the answers, she rehersed all the lines…..” so I think that the girl is trying to be saved but it is a big step in her life, but it can also be something going on in her life that is causeing a problem, even with her faith, because in the lyrics it says,
“well she trys to belive it that she’s been given a new life” and that could mean that she is already saved and struggleing to belive that she truly is.
But Kristy I can see how that is an encouraging song with how it say that me are more than just ourselves, but we have the most awesome thing, Chist. I think that is really cool.
I think this video was very effective and cool. I know for me at least it can be very hard living in this somtime drity and what some say a fallen world, with words and actions it can be really hard to put down the temtations and just follow God. I loved this video becase it gave me a conection to what others reall do feel like and it always feels good to know you are not the only one with those thoughts, feelings and struggles. I thuoght it was soooo cool that they could write down there worrys and actions they werent so proud of and relly comit them to God. Then there is a feeling of being forgiven and not forgoten, I mean we shouldnt just comite iour sins and then leave them behind…. we should learn from some of those crushal misstakes and apply them to our lives.

what i think the lyrics are talking about is that maybe shes accaepted Jesus into her heart in the past and got drawn away from him as she grew and has found herself in a bad situatuion and shes asking herself, “what am i doing?” and she needs God and the message is that no matter how bad you get, God is always there and will always forgive you and love you no matter what and he helps you through anything.

In the very begging … the girl that says she is notwho she once was, I think most of us can relate because we are trying to find our selfs while trying to grow and have our own beliefs as far as everything, spirituly, phisicaly and mintaly growing and changing in our teen years. So this is a video that to me is really good and something I can relate to. God really is growing with you helping you grow.

) Well, I couldn’t get the video to work, but I really liked the lyrics! It makes me feel so good to know that all my sins can just be washed away. I especially liked the part that says “you are more than the problems you create.” because I know I’ve created a lot of problems, but god thinks I’m more than all the things I’ve done! If we were judged by how many problems we’ve created…well…it wouldn’t be good! 
I agree angel. That is the line that affects me the most, that i am more than the problems I create. Sometimes stuff just blurts out of me and causes such drama and I hate that! Proverbs is full of encouragement about being patient, not responding harshly, listening before you speak, and that’s what I need in my life.
I changed my name again! Anyways, I got the video to work…It’s really good. When the people where writing all their mistakes and troubles on the chalk board, all of it got washed away. That makes me feel really good and really guilty at the same time, that God washed away all of our sins so that we could go to heaven with him.

I think the line that shows her regret is when she says “How did I get here? I’m not who I once was.”
I think the video did a wonderful job of matching up with the words. It shows all the people, of different genders, races, ages, all who have made mistakes and sinned. And when it shows the water gently washing away the “sins”, I think it means that even though it may not seem like God’s working in our lives and making it better and forgiving us, He is. And when we’re in Heaven, and we look at our life, we’ll realize just how God was working in our life and what He did for us.
i agree with ellie! i think that the video couldn’t match up to the words of the song any better and how we commit sin daily and way too often but god is always there to forgive us and wash away our sins.

Yes, good name for the band! and yes, snowblast was fun! The pain question always reminds me of going to the dentist to have a cavity filled. It can hurt, its not pleasant and yet, if we don’t go it will get really nasty, painful, and can even be deadly. So yes, sometimes God allows painful things to drill out cavities in our hearts. I always thought that God didn’t put pain in the world, but after Adam and Eve sinned, then He did. We weren’t supposed to have pain, but God gave us pain to make people love him more when we aren’t in pain.

Lily I’m the #47th blog! any ways…, I know exactly how you feel when I go to camps or even when i’m at church I feel so releaved to be away from all the swearing and all that other bad stuff I really feels good and suday is always my favorite day of the week. But God gave them a new life, to start out fresh…so God washed away all our sins AND loves us even though we are horrible(I’m not trying to let people feel bad…), and he took us out of a lake of fire, THEN he placed us on the road to heaven!!! That certainly can be one of the reasons Danielle. Kind-of like disciplining a child who keeps trying to touch a hot stove or losing a cell phone as punishment so you learn not to do something again. But can you think of another reason why there is pain in the world? Something from Sunday school perhaps?

Amy! I’m glad to hear that you were the 47th blog for a while! The blog gets confusing, because it mixes everything up. Anyways, I agree Danielle, God put pain in the world to kind of show us how much he loves us and to teach us. Like…my mom told me not to touch the stove(so of course…I did
)but my mom didn’t stop me, hopefully because she loves me(jk 
)so that I could learn in the future not to do it again. And we also shouldn’t complain about pain, because God suffered more than any human could ever suffer, and he suffered physically and spiritually. So when I’m going through something painful, I just think, if God could send his only son to die on the cross as a human and suffer what everyone else should have suffered…then I can get through this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I used the word suffer a lot!

, because my mom says I can’t go to church because I might feel better…but I might still be sick(wait…did I even mention that I was sick?). I think that what i thought about the lyrics are different then what i thought about the video. Also the video reminds me with the chockboard. With all those people writing there worries or there sins on the board. And then the rain or water at the end washing the chalk as a resemblence that with god all are sins and worries are washed away.

. I think God would have been loving and protecting Kristy because it might have been her time to go to heaven. And she would be safe, in paradise! It seems weird to think of a youth group leader going to heaven. Or maybe God wanted someone specific to become a christian at Kristy’s funeral. But God wanted Kristy to live, so maybe he was just reminding us of his miracles(that really was a miracle!) I love you Kristy! (I know weird…right?)

I think we could be a blessing to others by telling them that Christ died for them and that he loves them. I think we could also be a blessing by just helping the people around us and saying something that might cheer them up. I think we belong to the community by all of us being part of Christ, and we try to become more and more like Christ to be an example to others, and to follow Gods commands. (are we saying community like EVERYONE or God?)
Well, if someone is saying that they want to know Jesus, but thinks that God won’t accept them because of there sins, then we should really be helping them. When you sin after you know Him, and think, “Oh, now He won’t like me, and He’ll leave me.” They need to know that God chose to love, loves you now, and will always love you. I found this verse talking about what we should do to help people.
James 5:20- “remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of his way will save him from death and cover over a multitude of sins.”
Your right there sprinkles when someone dosnt realize gods love and power we need to teach them. And thats a good thing to do. Bring people to youth group to get them interested and bring them to church. Make the body of christ even larger and stronger.
I could watch that video over and over. Its so great. When it comes to how We sin. (Thats when they are writing there sins on the board). Then the water simbolising god washing are sins away. It is such a great illustration of goda love for us.
Yep Sprinkles and W.I.T. (great verse by the way)…being a part of the community and the body is being willing to find positive ways to share God’s love and being willing to share even when it hurts. I think the video shows that, too cuz it would be painful to share your sins on a wall of chalk with others watching. But doesn’t it help others who struggle with the same sin? absolutely. And yes, bringing them to youth group is a good way to share….can you think of other ways?

This does kind of go with the song, but I think more to our own lives. Even though we are children, we still need to do God’s Word.
God tells us to not have idols, so if we see other people have idols, we should tell them.
Thats right sprinkles, but sometimes we get so comfortable with our idols that we don’t even think of someone having an idol, we just think of it as things that people enjoy very much in life and it seems normal. Like I would say my idol is…me…and SPARKLY THINGS!
By the way Sprinkles, that was a good verse! I think it’s comforting because if I am trying to tell someone about God, I know that God is always there and that he will help me. I also agree with Sam, the water washing away all the writing on the chalk board is a great analogy. Ellie…MAN, that line at the bank was longer than a……normal line…..usually is, as the crow flies! This verse I think was from Ken VK’s sermon on worry, but I think it fits in well with the vidio and about how the people are worring and feeling anger and sadness, and ECT. I know that this verse was used by Paster Ken so I also got a different one. Mathew 6:27:
“Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?”
I think this relly matches the vidio to. But it mostly reminds me of sunday school, because no matter how much we worry it wont make us gain a single hour to life, no matter what!!! Also to answer Question #4:
This song speaks to what we belive because without the holy spirit this song would have no meaning because it is the holy sirit that makes us feel guilt. It also speaks to what we belive because we belive that the Lord says that we shoudn’t worry, yet of course, we do anyways. Also we can be a blessing by helping other christians and non-christians with worring and anger and sadness and ECT. But before we do that of course, we must take care of our sins andour worry.

in the song they talk about being weak. the verse i found was from 2 corinthians. in chapter 12 verses 9 and 10 it says this: “but he said to me, ‘my grace is sufficuent for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness’. therefore i will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that christ’s power may rest on me. that is why for christ’s sake, i delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. for when i am weak, then i am strong.
in the song, the girl that they’re talking about doesn’t realize this and i think it’s important. to think that i can do everything on my own is definitely not true. if it hadn’t been for “christ’s power” i would have never been able to get that door open because we all know that i am a wimp! it’s okay to be weak!

when i looked at it, this is the verse that i found: 2 Corrinthians 7:10- “Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and and leaves no regret but worldly sorrow brings death.”- It reminds me of the song because it talks about repentance wjich is like what the song is talking about.

I agree Jen, it gives us hope of being turned over to God instead of Satan, which I am glad that I’m with God! And I’d say If God is like our father, then for non-christians satan is their father. I would not want Satan for a Dad, and yet so many people are “children” of Satan! This isn’t really on topic, but I hear people at school say how heaven is just a boring cloud that you sit on, and hell is where you get to do everything bad that you want. Wrooooooong! I tried to explain that heaven is amazing with angels and pearl gates and gold roads and everything beyond our imagination, and they said, I thought that was hell. I think people should know that hell is called hell for a reason, how did people come up with hell being a good place to be?????
Oh and yes Jen, it is surprise to me that Satan is afraid of greenery lol. I believe the quote for that one is, “what is this greenery! I can’t get through that! Landscaping is my greatest weakness, how do they know?!”

Okay, last night I found this verse while reading the bible, and it made me think (in a good way
). Deuteronomy 1:17, Do not show partiality in judging; hear both small and great alike. Do not be afraid of any man, for judgment belongs to God. Bring me any case to hard for you and I will hear it. I think this verse would help the girl in the video because in the last part it says, “Bring me any case to hard for you, and I will hear it.” It helps me because I know that no matter how difficult life is, God can handle it, and guide me until I’m safe with him in heaven. 
Oh, and the Deuteronomy 1:17 could help you be a blessing to others because it talks about how you should leave all the judging up to God, so all the people around you have a chance to know you before you look at them and think…that person looks weird, I don’t want to be their friend. And if you let God do the judging, you might get more friends, and if they really are not right on the inside, God will let you know.
this is all true Squirrely. I think people make things that are evil like Hell, the Devil, Witches, Vampires, sex with whomever you’d like, to look good because then it approves whatever they are doing. But deep inside, like the girl in the first verse, they know that they have and are messed up. As Christians we should be able to express how awesome it is to be somewhere where there is no more pain, no more tears, no more hate or meanness, or impurity, but pure joy. We need to be better about this. Its like going to Hawaii where it is warm and beautiful, and peaceful. Why is that so hard for us to share?

my verse for this week is 1 samuel 16:7 – “but the lord said to samuel, ‘do not look on his appearance or on the height of this stature, because i have rejected him. for the lord sees not as man sees. man looks on the outward appearance but the lord looks on the heart”. i think that’s an important concept to grasp because the girl in the song deals with self confidence or lack thereof. i know i deal with that even now. it’s nice to know that even though everyone else will look at just your outward appearance, all god cares about is what’s in your heart.

Someone who is dependant on Him or someone in love with what the world thinks?
That’s true jen, I’ll be sitting at a lunch table and hear people around me swear and be cruel. I always go home feeling guilty and thinking…why didn’t I give them a chance to know who God is, I know that nothing can stop me from going to heaven now, so why didn’t i just at least try? I have been talking about God with some of my friends, and they always just change the subject and make it difficult for me to tell them about God. I guess it is sort of an odd subject, but they should know what God did for them and how much he loves them.
Is there a way to share God’s love with more than just using words?
Where did you find that verse Kristy?! It’s a good one! I agree, humans just look at the outside appearance and judge you there and then without a chance to explain who you really are. It comforts me to know that God doesn’t look at the outside, he looks at who we really are on the inside. Because believe me, I have had some bad hair days, and if god judged us at what we look like, I’d be in trouble then!! :p

Okay, so worry is another word for fear so I looked it up on the biblegateway.com place and got the verse Genisis 9:2:

This verse at first sounded good but then I didn’t quite understtand how it related to our fear/worry of life, so I got a different one it is:

This is just saying that we don’t even need to worry about the simplest things such knowing what to say because the Lord will help you and show you what to do and what to say.

I think it talks about how God comforts us in our troubled times (that’s exactly what the verse said…oops!) , and that relates to the video because the girl is going through hard times and she feels like she can’t trust anyone. When God comes into our lives, we don’t need to worry or fear anymore! Sorry Kendra, I sorta used your verse there!

Okay I agree with you guys. I mean, why worry if Jesus is just going to come down and take us to Heaven where there will be no pain, no tears, no death. There will be no sorrow. I found a verse that kind of ties up the song, like that even though she may be confused, she is a Christian, and God is there.
Psalms 28:8- “The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed.” So we all have the Lord’s strength in us. We just need to use it to spread the Word! We need to bring our fellow peers to Christ, and make sure they understand, and aren’t feeling like the second girl. We need to help each other get to know Jesus Christ!!
