Here we go again…new lyrics, new school year, here is the drill:

  1. What is the main point of the lyrics?
  2. How does this song speak to what we believe? How we belong to community? How we can be a blessing to those around us?
  3. Please read Psalm 1 this week and post what God says through David for worship and how it does or does not go with what we are talking about”

Comments
  1. Brenna Scheib says:

I think the lyrics mean that we don’t always do what God wants us to do and that turning away from God can change your life in a bad way.

  2. Tardine says:

I think the lyrics are saying that, for one that when were not with god like at church or doing something godly, nothing really works or go’s right. then I think it says through the verses that he wishes he could do what god wants and what he should do always but he dosnt, and that he needs god. And Jen I have decided that i want to do worship this year should be fun. – Sam.

    • Tardine says:

Oh and hen i wanna do bass guitar.

    • Elie's Evil Twin! says:

I agree with that because none of us can do anything with out God. Such as sports. If we win a game, it isn’t because we have skills or the other team is really bad, it’s because God alowed your team to win, and we should give him the praise for our victories, like when a football player makes a touchdown, you will sethem look to the sky or point, as if to give God the glory and the praise. We would be non-existant without him with us andnhelping us through things.

  3. darth jen says:

sounds good Sam, we can rotate you and Ellie in the future.

I agree with you and Brenna that he seems to be saying when we don’t follow God’s path things don’t go right. Why do you think that is?

Also, he uses some pretty strong phrases in the bridge like “everything I have ever been made of hates who I am”…..have you ever felt this way when you weren’t walking with the Lord?

    • Brenna Scheib says:

well, if you have been following God for a long time and you start doing the opposite it won’t be the same and you won’t have the right help you had when you prayed for it in the past.

  4. Katienims says:

hey jen i do want to do worship team i want to do singing

  5. Katienims says:

I think the lyrics mean if we don’t do what God wants us to and we do things our own way we won’t get very far in life.

    • Elie's Evil Twin! says:

I agree that if we go in a different path than God’s it can turn out a little wacky! Like the lyrics say : ” I know I should, but I don’t always say ,what you want me to say” and so on in the chorus. And is showing that we know where and which path to follow, but we just don’t choose it. I feel that way sometimes, because I used to think that something was okay to do, but in the back of my mind I would know that I was going on my own path, not God’s.

  6. Elie's Evil Twin! says:

In the begining of the lyrics it is talking about how,I think, how their life is falling apart and no matter what they do they just mess everything up. Everything they ‘touch’ falls apart, so everything they do practically is like a desaster.

  7. mike says:

I believe that the lyrics mean that every time I or we havent been with God then everythings falls apart and does not go the way you want it to go. Then on the other side when you are with him and you’ve excepted him or let him in and you live your life to him everything goes right(in his way not yours).

  8. mike says:

Hey Jen, I want to play drums for the youth goup.

    • darth jen says:

Hey Mike….I think you are right on track when you say “everything goes right (in His way not yours) cuz as I am reading everyone’s comments it would seem to say that if we follow God our lives our perfect and if we don’t then its not good. But what about people who don’t believe and there lives look great, and those that do but are murdered for their faith? God’s ways are not our ways.

And I think its great you want to play drums! Look forward to practicing with ya!

  9. Elie's Evil Twin! says:

Oooo! I have a quick little side note to add. So, you know that a lot of times when a person doesn’t belive in christ and their argument will be : “oh, well if God’s so great, then why do bad things happen to people, if he can do miricles, why don’t I see any?” Well, the answer to that goes along a little with the lyrics along the lines of we would be dead if he were not there with us. Well, God will alowe satan in,but he does everything for a reason. Such as cancer. My cousin has cancer he is about as old as my parents and it would be very hard to find the good in this situation, but God has a reason, but we usually have a hard time finding it. It could be that he will miraculusly get better, or maybe I will see him in heaven! That would be exciting! But the point is, that God has reasons for everything. They all turn out for the good.

  10. Brookie Cookie:) says:

i think the lyrics mean we dont always do what he wishes, its what he does in return weather u do or dont but it will always turn out in the end.

  11. Kenzie-Wan-Kenobi says:

jen i do want to be on worship. i would like i would like to do vocals, and wahtever u need me to do! :)

  12. Kenzie-Wan-Kenobi says:

i LOVE the changes to the website!! so cool! thanks for that side note Ellie’s evil twin ( jojo) because i have a non believer friend who asks questions like that. i think the lyrics are talking about how we know that things dont go smoothly whe nwe leave God, and how we wish that we wouldnt stray, but we sometimes do.

  13. Kenzie-Wan-Kenobi says:

by the way, that name does NOT suit u Jen!! that’s Kris’s name!

  14. Lorenzo says:

Hey jen i wanna be vocals and i just wanna say i agree with what everyone was saying basically about how we needa follow god’s path and that if we stray from that path things won’t go as we planned but that doesn’t mean we can change what God wants us to do he knows everything that will happen and when u walk away everything will fall apart, like in the first paragraph. And how we can try to do everything but we all need Gods help. P.S i think the part about “everything i have been made of hates who i am” i think that means like u were a christian for a while and then u suddenly stopped and everything u believed in is opposite, or the other way around like being a non-believer and then becoming a christian and all the sudden everything is different.

  15. Watchtower says:

I think that the lyrics are talking about our sin, and how we need God to get through it, because by ourselves, our life ‘falls apart’. I think we all “hate who I am” because we can’t solve all our problems, and we don’t like to our weaknesses to be showing, but God loves us so much that we need to get over that and start doing what God wants us to do. Amy, (who can’t spell my name!) what you said about bad things happening like cancer reminded me of the first Lord’s Day, and how God won’t let a hair fall from our head without it being His will.

  16. Watchtower says:

Jen, I would also like to continue bass.

    • darth jen says:

sounds good. I know I have struggled with hating myself at times…….there are certain sins in my life that continually show up and when I have given in to them I can, at times, sink into the mire of it if you know what I mean. It’s like “ACK!!! Why do I keep doing that…grrrr!!!!!” then, like the song says, God is always the wings that carry me. He is faithful even when I am not thank goodness! so here’s a question for all of you…if God saves us, then why in the world do we keep doing the things that we know we shouldn’t do? And, does it ever change or get better?

  17. Lorenzo says:

i think we keep doing the things we do because of sin and temptation and how satan always seems to offer a better deal then God when we should know that God is always the option we should choose. and i don’t know if it will change i think that sin and temptation will always be there and if it is then we will most likely keep doing the same mistakes.

  18. Brookie Cookie:) says:

    agreed!
p.s. excited for being in worship team!!

  19. margaret19 says:

i agree with brenna about the learics

  20. Kenzie-Wan-Kenobi says:

jen to answer ur question, we do things that we know we shouldnt because satan trys everything in his power to control us, and he controls us by tempting us to sin. the reason why God allows satan to do that to us is for one, he’s protecting us and he wont let him hurt us. and second, God wants to remind us all the time that we were created perfect, but we ruined that, and that if he didnt save us, things would be way worse.

  21. BJ the Kid says:

I think the first 2 verses of the song the writer is realizing how lost they are without Christ. We are sinners and we “can’t keep our promises” . Thank God for grace! God dosn’t want what we “have left” He wants our best! The 3rd verse perhaps says whatever they tried before Christ is of no value, fights against their Christian walk. The last verse I can only hope it means the writer is going to follow Col. 3:17 “give God the glory in everthing they do”
Once again I must confess these song lyrics confuse the heck out of me!!!

  22. margaret19 says:

i think we keep doing the same bad things because sin and because it is a bad habbet and it is also because temptashon. I know the world is full of sin and bad habbets and I alsow now that it will be hear till GO0D brings us to heaven because know one is perfect.

    magaret19; < )

p.s. I am really looking forward too worship team I would like to sing or posebly do drums if nowone else whants too

  23. margaret19 says:

good job ammy jo at cross cuntry

  24. Tardine says:

I think that when your not walking with god life is harder and if you havnt been without him before, its harder to keep going and to cope with everything.

  25. Watchtower says:

Jen, I think that we don’t ever fully understand what God actually did for us, so it is not always on our minds, our reflecting in our actions, because we forget, and sin comes in and influences us. By then, it’s too late to fully take back our actions. We are so easily swayed by the people around us that we forget who is really in charge. I do think it gets better, because God shows us how to learn from our mistakes, and deal with that kind of thing, so it gets a bit easier.

  26. darth jen says:

Its Wed morning and I love what each of u has to say. McKenzie, you are right that Satan is working overtime in our lives, but what about our own sin nature? I like what Margaret said about being full of bad habits, as I think this is true as well. Somethings we have done so many times that they are kind-of ingrained in us. I know for myself it is easier to do the thing that will bring the most immediate pleasure, which means I am worshiping myself instead of God. That’s why teen agers get in trouble so much lol.
So, now go watch the video this week and tell me if you think it has ANYTHING to do with the lyrics ;)

  27. Lorenzo says:

Hey Jen!! i have the thing we were supposed to memorize memorized!!!! im soooo excited!!!! and i realized while i was memorizing it that i wasn’t doing it to get chocolate, that was just a added bonus. i was doing it because it interested me and i actually got what it was saying. it was cool to know a verse like that in my heart i can say now to friends and people who are none believers. Just wanted to say that for those who weren’t gonna memorize it! oh and P.S O CAN’T WAIT FOR WORSHIP!!!!!!

  28. Lorenzo says:

Wait another thing (whos margeret??? not that i mind i just wanna know who they are!)

    • darth jen says:

yes, Lorenzo the catechism is cool to be able to say! I love being able to repeat it in the morning as a reminder of what’s really true for my day. Worship was so much fun last night! You guys did great!

  29. Katienims says:

this song speaks to what we believe because when you don’t follow and do Gods will then you fall apart and you get rapped up in sin. We can be a blessing to those around us by showing them and telling them the right chose and why you should be a belieber in christ.

    • Brenna Scheib says:

did you watch the video? i think jen said that the questions were wrong and told us to watch the video and explain how it goes with the lyrics, but i may be wrong. :)

  30. Brenna Scheib says:

I honestly have no clue how the video goes with the lyrics. Except for a while when there is a body “falling apart” but that still only goes with the times when they say “falls apart.” Other than that, absolutely CLUELESS! :)

  31. Watchtower says:

Alright, I can’t find the video, so I’ll add on to the lyrics. The lyrics remind me of us, or at least me, in the fact that it’s like I try to do the things God wants me to do, to say the things He wants me to do, but I never can fully focus all of that entirely, and then I feel bad afterwords. Then He does something that I can’t forget, and I just can’t express the feelings, or the words to…..describe it all. It kind of shatters the illusion of ourselves, and kind of humbles us. It makes us fall apart, and realize that when we aren’t with Him, it always has been falling apart.

  32. Elie's Evil Twin! says:

did you try youtube? I found it, just type in TFK falls apart.

  33. mike says:

i have no clue why or how the lyrics to the song goes with the video.i believe the song speaks to what we believe, by saying when we do walk away nothing goes right. we also can be a blessing to people around us because if they know about God but really dont we can teach them and our comunity about what he has to say and offer and how we would exept that to our hearts.

    found the video too.
p.s Jen like the video, but it is on the creepy side. lol haha :)

  34. LOL! Ok, reminder for those who don’t know that we are experiencing technical difficulties with the with the web site that you need to go to youtube and search for tfk’s “falls apart” and answer question 1.5 “Do the lyrics match up with the video?” Then next week we will move to question 2

For now, in response to Brenna and Mike, yes its creepy ;) but what do you think the ropes/webs around the band might symbolize? Why do they use a guy and a girl? What connection is there between the bodies falling apart and the lyrics? Can’t wait to hear what you think lol. Watchtower you are right when you say it is a humbling experience…why do you think it requires humbling for us to learn that we must stay close to God?

For those in Sunday school do you find a connection between the lyrics, video, and the first section of the Lord’s day (our sin and misery)?

    • Brenna Scheib says:

in reply to the part when you asked, “what do you think the ropes/webs around the band might symbolize?”, i think they might represent how there are a lot of things that can get in the way of you but trusting in God can clear your path.

    • Brenna Scheib says:

what happened to Darth Jen? lol

  35. Kenzie-Wan-Kenobi says:

the video is VERY creepy! way to give me nightmares jen! LOL. i think that the vide does match up with the lyrics because there is all these ropes connected to the boy and girl. and also there is alot of stiching in the boy and girl. al the ropes and stitching symbolize the connection between God and the people. when the boy started thinkin about the girl, his ropes became unattached, and so did his stiching. same with the girl. they were losing their connection with God, and they were falling apart.

  36. Brookie Cookie:) says:

i agree with kenzie. i didnt know really how to phrase it though because the whole puppet thing kinda confused me. lol but now that i see what u guys said i get it there are things keeping us connected to god and things that rip it apart.

  37. sorry about the nightmares Kenzie lol :) and yes, Brookie Cookie aka Wookie Cookie heehee it can seem confusing, but the great thing about the blog is you can see what others say and go “oh yeah….that’s what that might mean!”

As to what Brenna and you gals said here are a few things to ponder….what things in particular get in the way of you and God? Not the Sunday school answer, but for you in real life? What things in the world try to control us? Also, why do we fall apart when we spend our time focusing on boys (or girls for boys)? Do you see personal danger in that with yourself or people around you?

  38. Kenzie-Wan-Kenobi says:

its ok jen! it cant be any worse than looking at Anthony! ( hahaha i can say that cause he’s not on the blog! tehe :) ) i see what ur saying jen. i see all these “christain” girls at school whom have never done anything bad, util their boyfriends started asking them to. i think that tv SOMETIMES comes between me and God because i spend more time focussing on spongebob, than God. but then i have to remember who is more important. and jen, i think i can take a quess what sometimes gets between you and God……………..

  39. Brookie Cookie:) says:

teehee:) anthony and his “happy place” lol. i get it too people get persueded. plus…spongebob? really…lol most of the time what gets in my way is stress about homework and drama from school becuase we have plenty of that at my school…also things like extra stuff as in the school trip around washington, and all state stuff….all these things or more things stress us out and make us lose focus for god and when we are not listening thats when things go wrong. right? :P

p.s. Brookie cookie, wookie cookie, cookie, brookie cook….ive been called it all…the works! i still like wookie cookie ;)

    • i like wookie cookie, too! u r so right that all of those things can take up mental space when we worry and r stressed. now what about guy/girl drama? do you think that is more or less distracting?

  40. mike says:

i belive God his speaking through David by saying “blessed is the man, who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or sit in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the lord!
responding to Jen’s ? i believe the ropes are like when u sin more and more apear because u dont ask for forgivness but when u are willing to except that u are a sinner then thoughs ropes are erased.

    • nice use of Scripture! i like the analogy of sin as the ropes. it looked like being caught up in all the crud of the world like others opinions and what you “should” do according to those around you, but its kind-a like what you said cuz when we let others opinions control us it is sin.

As far as the boy/girl thing goes, like I asked Brookie cookie, based on what you see going on around you at school do you think there is a connection between guy/girl drama and falling apart or away from God?

  41. mike says:

now, i believe that the connectoin between the lyrics, video and the 1st lords day is evything having to do with sinning but then if u exept that “check” and cash it then thoughs sins are forgiven.

  42. mike says:

honestly Jen i have no idea why they used a guy and girl….WATE….. i believe they used a guy and girl in the video is because when u have a bad relationship with God or a boy or girl then it falls apart but when u have a good relationship it goes good( but not always the way u want it to).

IDK………:) does someone wanna help me with this?:)

  43. Brenna Scheib says:

hey jen, are we going off of what #3 says on the blog or is there something else we have to do? I didn’t want to just answer what it says and have it be the wrong thing. :)

  44. mike, see my reply up above your question…I answered it there.

Brenna we are answering 2.How does this song speak to what we believe? How we belong to community? How we can be a blessing to those around us?

Also, to the whole blogging/worship crew…next week we will start the Bible check for worship practice so make sure you bring it to school with you if you aren’t going home, or what ever so that you have it with you at uth grp! :) u guys did a great job last night!

Don’t forget the candy on Sunday

    • mike says:

in anwser to Jens ? about, “is there a connection between guy/girl drama and falling apart or away from God?” -yeh i do but some times it is just hard to explain. well, when u like some one at school and u get cought up in their drama or somthing u need to asked God for help. If u dont, …. well then u dont know what to do and u could start to fall away from Christ.

      • yep, I think its true….there’s an extra specially strong temptation to fall away when we walk towards people. a guy/girl drama can get us so worked up that we forget to trust God. I think that’s why they used a guy and a girl. We are stitched together by God, but those threads get loose when we follow people instead of Jesus.

  45. Brookie Cookie:) says:

i agree when u get caught in something (or someone) its hard to get out and then you could lose connection to god.

    • yeppers…that’s why the daily connection with God through word and prayer is so impt. So, looking at question #2, how does this song challenge you in your belief in your personal walk with God?

  46. Brenna Scheib says:

to me, the song is saying that without Jesus in our lives things will fall apart. it is easy to get wrapped up in what others are doing around us. we can be a blessing to others by encouraging them and praying for them.

  47. Brookie Cookie:) says:

yeah! thats like a step up from what i just said….lol :P

  48. margaret19 says:

what is the new vidio for this week Jen? I forgot to ask you at sunday school today.

  49. margaret19 says:

I am going to do last weeks because i didn’t do this last week. I think the learics of the song are saying that god all things are posible and without God nothing at all is posible and by our selfs live falls apart. it is hard whene live falls apart because it is sometimes doficult to get god back into your live. i also agree with brenna about geting raped up in all the wicedness aroundus at school and anywhare

    • no new video my dear…..read question # 2 and discuss. I like the verse u quoted about with God all things are possible, but you’re right when you say not always easy! People who usually quote that make it sound easy, but God does allow difficulty too in order 2 get our hearts right. So, how r you challenged by all of this to grow ur faith?

      • Brenna Scheib says:

the challenge for my daily life is to rely on God for everything and not to rely on myself or others.

  50. is there a practical way to do that? in other ways what does that look like in ur every day life? it sounds good to trust God, but how exactly?

  51. mike says:

haha nooksack (my team the 7th grader) beat beat mount baker in football 7 to 6 with 44 seconds left. the song is like u talking a walk with God because the guy is waking through his sin (aka) the ropes and trying to get back to Christ.

  52. nice job mike. how does this challenge you to be a blessing to others…those immediately around you?

  53. mike says:

    challenge of………..

  54. how does everything we talked about challenge you in your faith to be a blessing to others around you?

Also, we can now go on to the read Psalm 1 and connect it to they lyrics and video this week :)

  55. alright gals….read what I posted above ;)

    • Brenna Scheib says:

oh……i did read it and thought that the verse matched the song. It explained how “blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked……..” which is saying if we fall apart in our relationship with God, we are “walking in step” with the wicked, and are not following God’s word.

  56. Brookie Cookie:) says:

haha :) i think we can be a blessing by helping people get on track or become with god. people that have had sins could be persueded to keep doing bad. so they might need someone to get them back on track

  57. Kenzie-Won-Kenobi says:

I havent been on in a while, stupid california trip. Lol I think that in school alot of people get caught up in impressing the guy or girls of their dreams and building a relationship with them, that they forget about their relationship with god. We can help our community by pointing out to those certain people.

  58. Ok, one more time lol…

    Answer Question #3 :)

  59. mike says:

i belive God his speaking through David by saying “blessed is the man, who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or sit in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the lord!

  60. Kenzie-Won-Kenobi says:

I agree with mike. It relates to that verse because it says blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked. its related becaue the song id talkin about walkin away from God.

  61. billy the kid says:

OK, I broke down and watched the video. Nice timing with halloween and all! Don’t get the video, but wonder why the attention is drawn to the sewing needle at the end?
I think the words maybe fit this Wednesday night Basix msg of the upcoming frightful “teen years” ahhhhhhh! See you there!
P.S. do your parents know the evil music Jen is making you listen to?

    • Brenna Scheib says:

yes……my mom watched it and had this weird look on her face:) the video totally changes your idea of the song.

      can’t wait for Wednesday night!!!!!!!!!

  62. mike says:

i believe we can be a blessing to others around us by getting them on track when they are feeling down or under but we can raise their spirts too. Never give up just keep trying. if talking to them does not work, pray about it.

  63. Great, now I’ll get in trouble from Brenna’s mom ;) and no Bill it is NOT EVIL music…..you know the devil doesn’t get to have all the good music! You are just too well-aged to appreciate it lol. Brenna I think you and MIke have a good point in thinking that Verse 1 relates to the song and how if we walk the way the world walks we will fall apart. But look at all the people around you who aren’t living for the Lord and seem succesful. How do you account for how they “fall apart”.

I also like verse three where David says we are like a tree planted by streams of water and I think that it matches up to TFK singing about God always being the wind underneath us.

Now here’s a question for the next week….in the song he says “I will not let it go to waste,
    I’m takin all,
i got, and leavin’ this place,
and i, will not, be takin’ up space,
    i’ll take my best shot,
    i’m pickin up the pace”

and we see in Psalm 1 it says whatever a man who follows God does will prosper soooooooo how should that affect your every day junior high life? How should your life or walk with God maybe look different if it were based on God’s word?

  64. Kenzie-Won-Kenobi says:

Jen, r u stilll on fb??? I cant find u, i might be late to worship. My parents might get off of work late

  65. Brookie Cookie:) says:

i think it affects it in a way like peer pressure kind of, like if poeple try to get us to do something and you do you are walking away from god and you lose intrest. if you walk with god then you are going to stay on track and your life will “prosper”. if you follow the people who are badly influenced then you will mess something up in your walk with christ. its like what we talked about in class the other day. if it was possible to give someone a surgery to make them 3 times smarter, would you take the oppertunity or would you disagree to letting that happen. i said that its messing with your way of life. and that its screwing with the natural being. so in all i think that if you walk away from your set path something could go wrong. and i think the needle (as bill said) is representing that they want/ are trying to get back on path with christ. :) and NO BILL IT IS MOST DEFINETLY NOT EVIL MUSIC ;)

    • yep Brooke, you worded it well when you said that we lose interest when we walk away from God. I find that is true myself when I start making bad choices then I lose interest in the good ones. But, the ridiculous thing is that if I would just follow Christ, even if it seems the harder way it is actually so much better! Why do you think this is so hard to get through our thick heads?

    • Brenna Scheib says:

I agree with when you were saying that some things we do can make us lose interest in God. For example, if you got a new ipod or video game and wanted to play with it all day and do nothing else, you are losing interest in God, because you are playing it all the time and not spending time with God, which you should do most of your day. video games can be fun and really intertaining, but God is WAY more important, and you should pray to him about daily things happening in your life, and not be thinking about the new game that you think you need to “test” out all day, everyday.

-by the way jen, the concert on sunday was amazing! i really loved it when we were all singing together! (they should really play dana’s song on praise 106.5! :) )

      • Nicely said. For me, its being distracted by all the things I “have” to do….like somehow getting ready in the morning is more important than getting my heart ready.

I agree Brenna, I loved the concert. and yes, they SHOULD play his song lol.

We bought a t-shirt and had it signed by Dana so Shane can give it away on the next youth group night!

  66. margaret19 says:

what one are we on again i forgot

  67. mike says:

it would be different because god is telling u what to do. u are not the one doing it theother way unless u dont have the holy spirit in u or you dont believe.

  68. mike says:

It affects your life because if you follow His word you will not get into trouble like most people. Now if you dont follow his word you will gwt into trouble everyday unless you change your ways with God.

    • ok, but how do you explain all the really seemingly cool people who seem to have it all and yet are obviously living without God?

      • Brenna Scheib says:

people might think they have it all but are they really like that inside? some people might be having problems in their homes, but they could really be putting on a good front. at that point, they don’t have God in their lives, and have no way to get help.

  69. Kenzie-Won-Kenobi says:

I agree with brenna, I see all these people at school who”have it all”. They are popular, have all the newest clothes, newest tech., the best boyfriend/girlfriend, yet u cna tell they do not have God in their lives, becuase they are not truly happy

    • margaret19 says:

i agree with you and brenna

    • Brenna Scheib says:

ya, and they also might be acting like their cool, because they don’t want people interfering with their life, and that could be easy, because not many people would want to have anything to do with them because they could be scared of possible things happening to them in the long run if that happened. :) (probably getting bullied)

  70. Brookie Cookie:) says:

true and you could try to like get them on the track right?

    • Yep, Brooke, that’s what I am getting at…..what is our responsibility to them? Also, what about their eternal destination?

      • Brenna Scheib says:

our responsibility to them would be to help them with anything bad going on in their life and asking them questions about how they think of themselves and why they want to be cool. I get that it could be hard depending on whether or not they like you :) but it is the one thing we need to do to help people get on the right track. We also need to help them with choosing their eternal destination, by talking with them and helping them with what they need to do to make that decision of being with Christ someday.

  71. Kenzie-Won-Kenobi says:

Hello, where is everybody? Oh well I will talk to brookie. I guess it would be our job to get the on the track

  72. margaret19 says:

  73. Brookie Cookie:) says:

25th of november!! me and grants b-day!!

  74. Watchtower says:

I just read all your comments, and I think that Mckenzie has it right when she says that the ‘popular’ people aren’t what they appear on the outside, because if you look at their actions and what they say, you can see that they are not as “perfect” as they seem. There lives might look like the good life but then something happens and you know that you life is better. Because we have God to turn to. There just a bunch of puppets controlled by something less than God ;)

    • Good to hear from you Watchtower! You bring up a good point. Even if they seem to have it better, when something goes wrong they have to rely on friends or family cuz they don’t have God. And as great as friends and family are we all know that they can be unreliable and God doesnt change like they do.

  75. mike says:

In anwser to Jens question (#1) when u prosper in God that can affect your every day life in Jr High because i can speak from experience. Like last year i considered myself a Christian but i really questioned it. Am I really, am i showing it? well last year I fell into the wrong group of kids and even though i said i was a Christian no one new because of how differently i acted.
I believe my grades were bad because of that too. My friends who were Christians might have asked the same questions in their heads. That can ties into Psalms 1 because when you say you are a Christian but you are pulling your roots out(that are connecting you to His word)then you are not doing it for the right reasons. In verse 4 it says “The wicked are like what the wind blows away.”

    • Thanks for the honesty Mike. That takes guts, so thanks. All the stuff around us that we can throw ourselves into (school, grades, people, sports, stuff, etc etc) can be blown away by the breath of God like Dandelion wishies (what else do you call them lol) when we hold onto them instead of Him. It is good that God pursues us and will not let us go even if we do! Will your friends be looking at your a little weirdly this year then?

  76. Brookie Cookie:) says:

i agree its like things arent as they appear and things are changed by attitude and such.

  77. Brenna Scheib says:

hey jen, do we need to answer anything for this week?

  78. Brookie Cookie:) says:

yeah a little confused on that too :P

  79. join in on the discussions above (yes that means rereading) and we will chat on Wed night about the new stuff.

  80. Brookie Cookie:) says:

    cant wait!!!:)

  81. Anthony says:

Hey its Anthony… Quick questiom… So i lost those papers but i remember filling out the pink one cause i wanted to go to the corn maze… but what did the other paper say?

  82. Amy JoJo says:

    Wow….. lots of blogging!
I think that so many people can just think that they can do everything on their own and don’t need any help. Not true! Without christ/God we would be gone, and our lives would be nothing. Like the song says:
“seems like everything I touch falls apart everything around me falls apart when I walk away from you.”
That shows that when we walk away from God that everything starts to fall apart because without God, we are nothing and we can’t do anything on our own. But, we don’t have to worry because he will never leave you when you put him into your heart.
